Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I loved this book. Jennifer Crusie's writing style is very easy to read and I fell in love with all of her characters in Welcome to Temptation. Everything from the town, to the male and female protagonists, to the cute daughter, and the overbearing mother. Every single part of this book hooked me and held on.
The chemistry is smoking hot, the daughter is so endearing, and I couldn't help but respect the difficult mother because she was just looking out for her son and for the town's reputation.
I think my favourite scene was the pool table scene. I mean really, when a woman beats you at your own game, and that leads to marrying her as the only logical conclusion. How can anyone not chuckle to themselves and think, "Damn right buddy. She beat you and now you better put a ring on that before she slips through your fingers."
The banter is witty, the romance is sizzling, and the characters are flawed and you can easily relate to the characters.
What's not to love. 5/5 stars.
