Feeling down? .. depressed?

I only have a few words to say about thatt....
I was reading this manga called Hana no Namae by Saitou Ken.

Whether I'm happy or you're unhappy, you're the one who makes that decision. No matter how much you want someone to save you from your suffering, you won't be saved. Because what you need in order to crawl out of the darkness are your own two hands.
Well , think on that for a bit every time you're feeling down.

Gotta love those lectures ....

So you're in university/college now and first year, you go to your first week (obviously nothing's going to sink in first week) - scratch that - first couple weeks of lectures and you're thinking damn, I am definitely not going to be able to stay awake during this 1+ hour(s). So .... what do I do? Well sorry , I dont have the answers to that. I do however know (maybe better than most people) what you shouldn't be doing...

  1. Facebook/fb chat, twitter, myspace, blogger (hehe oops), hotmail, gmail, any other kind of community site or email.
  2. MSN, AIM, yahoo messenger, ICQ (lawl), skype, oovoo, etc, i think you get the point.
  3. Games sites .. any of them! TSK TSK.
  4. Don't be reading things you shouldn't be (or looking at things...) ... I'm talking about other hwk/readings from other lectures duh! What are you thinking?!
  5. Stop flirting with the cute girl/guy behind, beside, in front, or down the row from you... this does including MSNing them ... if you happen to have their msn in the first place.
  6. If you missed out on your tv shows last night stream them later! Not in classsssssss.....
  7. Staring at other people's laptop screens is rude, stop being creepy!
  8. If you're dozing off, get someone to flick your neck each time you start snoring.
  9. Just ignore that person down the row who's chewing really loudly... Whether you pay attention or not, the awkwardness is still going to be there :)
  10. If you're really not enjoying any of your lectures, and not retaining any information no matter what you do ... then just get out of that room. Run away and change your major
Ah well , enjoy yourself. I should get back to paying attention to my lecture. Only an hour left! :) Have fun in class kids!

Syracuse, New York - new School ... and Sucky parents.

So yea, it was pretty fun as you can see. I know I'm a couple weeks late but hey, better late than never right?. I can't really say that I've been so hectic that I couldn't update but yea, I was just being lazy :) With the new dog, the new school, and bf going on vacation for the first two weeks of school , I was still stuck in summer-mode. It was a fun trip overall. Went to two duty free stores, 2 malls, lots of shopping, a nail salon for manicures and pedicures, and had a lot of fun just hanging out with some other viet families. We saw a vietnamese show/concert thing something along the lines of a mini Paris by Night.

School's a lot of fun so far. The classes aren't really interesting yet because of all the introductory crap but it's starting and a start is better than nothing. I'm slowly getting into the groove of school again although I'll admit this is a different setting and different atmosphere compared to highschool and elementary school traditions that I've been accustomed to for the past 12 years of my life. Homework checks, uniform checks, deadline extensions on a whim, teachers knowing my name and face after the first week (duh), being stuck - oops - i mean making friends with the same people for the consecutive years until I graduated, etc etc etc. Now, my teachers hardly recognize me, they don't write on the board as often thanks to the invention of powerpoint technology, my peers may never see me again, nevermind know my name, and I hate coming home more than ever.

Don't get me wrong, home is wonderful, love my dog, love my family, love my house and all that jazz, but GOD help me, I don't know if I can stand another 4 years under the same roof as my parents. Let's just say long story short, I wanted to go out for a night and stay over at a friend's residence, my parents complained, it became an argument, now they're trying to justify that as long as I live under their roof, I can't go out to a party that lasts past midnight. I'm 18, soon to 19 (legal to drink) and in 3 years I'll be 21, a legal adult in all aspects despite still being a "fresh young adult". Welllllll , lets just say if I manage to stay sane until I get that degree in my hands, I DESERVE SOME EFFING KUDOS. ARGH. Four words, ASIAN PARENTS REALLY SUCK.

Guess I won't be telling them the truth anymore because they obviously can't handle it . Back to the good ol' days of lying and pissing off my parents for the sheer joy that I love to piss them off :)

I'm a shit disturber against them , I know. If you were their kid too, you'd understand where I'm coming from. Just ask my brother. Anyways, I still love my parents, they're just god damn annoying like how parents are supposed to be.

Alrighty, until next time! Toodles noodles!
