So yea, it was pretty fun as you can see. I know I'm a couple weeks late but hey, better late than never right?. I can't really say that I've been so hectic that I couldn't update but yea, I was just being lazy :) With the new dog, the new school, and bf going on vacation for the first two weeks of school , I was still stuck in summer-mode. It was a fun trip overall. Went to two duty free stores, 2 malls, lots of shopping, a nail salon for manicures and pedicures, and had a lot of fun just hanging out with some other viet families. We saw a vietnamese show/concert thing something along the lines of a mini Paris by Night.
School's a lot of fun so far. The classes aren't really interesting yet because of all the introductory crap but it's starting and a start is better than nothing. I'm slowly getting into the groove of school again although I'll admit this is a different setting and different atmosphere compared to highschool and elementary school traditions that I've been accustomed to for the past 12 years of my life. Homework checks, uniform checks, deadline extensions on a whim, teachers knowing my name and face after the first week (duh), being stuck - oops - i mean making friends with the same people for the consecutive years until I graduated, etc etc etc. Now, my teachers hardly recognize me, they don't write on the board as often thanks to the invention of powerpoint technology, my peers may never see me again, nevermind know my name, and I hate coming home more than ever.
Don't get me wrong, home is wonderful, love my dog, love my family, love my house and all that jazz, but GOD help me, I don't know if I can stand another 4 years under the same roof as my parents. Let's just say long story short, I wanted to go out for a night and stay over at a friend's residence, my parents complained, it became an argument, now they're trying to justify that as long as I live under their roof, I can't go out to a party that lasts past midnight. I'm 18, soon to 19 (legal to drink) and in 3 years I'll be 21, a legal adult in all aspects despite still being a "fresh young adult". Welllllll , lets just say if I manage to stay sane until I get that degree in my hands, I DESERVE SOME EFFING KUDOS. ARGH. Four words, ASIAN PARENTS REALLY SUCK.
Guess I won't be telling them the truth anymore because they obviously can't handle it . Back to the good ol' days of lying and pissing off my parents for the sheer joy that I love to piss them off :)
I'm a shit disturber against them , I know. If you were their kid too, you'd understand where I'm coming from. Just ask my brother. Anyways, I still love my parents, they're just god damn annoying like how parents are supposed to be.
Alrighty, until next time! Toodles noodles!
